International payment system Mastercard decided to acquire an analytical cryptocurrency company CipherTrace. In addition to analytics, the company is engaged in the security of blockchain technologies, as well as crypto-forensics for more than 900 cryptocurrencies.
The payment system has long been interested in the crypto industry and therefore wants to integrate CipherTrace functions into its operations. This is necessary for the security of digital assets, but it also requires financial and regulatory compliance.
As the popularity of the cryptocurrency market is growing, it’s time to think more professionally about cybersecurity. Mastercard also has partnerships with Gemini and BitPay. The company wants to occupy one of the main niches in the cryptocurrency market.
