AMC Entertainment starts accepting Bitcoin for payments

Movie theater chain AMC Entertainment will begin accepting Bitcoin payments officially.

According to CNBC, CEO Adam Aron declared that by the end of 2021, customers will be able to make payments in cryptocurrency online. Purchasing tickets with cryptocurrency will be available in all the cinemas of the network.

The new introduction should boost the company’s profits, which fell during the pandemic. AMC was on the brink of bankruptcy.

The company also wants to introduce payments using Apple Pay and Google Pay.

As stated by Deadline, Aron also shared information that numerous new generation retail investors are supporting cryptocurrency.
