What is HODL

HODL (short for "hold on for dear life") is an investment strategy where investors buy cryptocurrency and keep it focusing on the long term, irrespective of short term market fluctuations. The motivaton behind this strategy could be to avoid volatility-induced sentiments that could lead to harmful behavior such as buying high or selling low. This strategy can be also motivated by the faith in cryptocurrency as the replacement of all fiat currencies in the future worldwide.
